This document summarizes the approach to prepare the admission list for the Dual Degree MBA Program in AI & Business Analytics Batch 2026-28 offered by IIM Jammu and AIT Thailand. The batch size is likely to be 60. IIM Jammu and AIT Thailand reserve the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.
The admission process of IIM Jammu in the first year consists of:
- CAT 2025 Examination
- Shortlisting the candidates for Personal Interview (PI) process through CAP 2026.
- Preparing the Merit List based on CAT 2025 score, PI score and Profile score as indicated in the following tables.
- Last date for withdrawal of Provisional admission offer and refund of Fee Paid: 05:30 PM, June 21st , 2026 (Tentative date)
1. Criteria for Shortlisting for PI process (as per CAT 2025 score)
The cut-off percentile marks for eligibility for Personal Interview (PI) process in the three sections and the total CAT percentile for different categories of students are given below:

IIM Jammu's Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates who would be called for the Personal Interview (PI) process based on criteria prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates were found to be less (more) than the required number of candidates to be called for PI category-wise, then the overall as well as section-wise minimum score would be reduced (increased) to get the desired number of candidates.
2. Criteria for Preparing the Merit List
The criteria for preparing the merit list will be based on the score obtained after adding the following:
- CAT Score: 0.42 × Absolute CAT Percentile = 42 marks
- Personal Interview (PI): 30 Marks
- Profile: 28 Marks
The above three scores shall be added and will be used to make the final merit list.
2.1 CAT Score (42% weightage)
IIM Jammu will use CAT 2025 score. One candidate can get maximum 42 marks.
2.2 Personal Interview (PI) (30% weightage)
IIM Jammu will give weightage in Personal Interview (PI). Maximum: 30 marks.
2.3 Profile (28% weightage)
One candidate can get maximum 28 marks.
- Academic Profile maximum: 10 marks
- Work Experience maximum: 10 marks
- Diversity (Gender) maximum: 08 marks
2.3.1 Academic Profile (10 Marks)
IIM Jammu will consider the following weightage: 10th Standard (2 marks), 12th Standard (3 marks), Graduation (5 marks).

2.3.2 Work Experience (10 marks)
** Only completed months will be considered. ** Only Full-time remunerative experience after graduation must be entered. Part-time/ Project/ Internship/ training/ apprenticeship/ Articleship/ Pre-graduation work experience should not be entered. The experience will be considered as per the CAP Guidelines.

Experience Related Certificates:
- Work experience Letter and Relieving Letter is required for all the past organizations/companies the applicant has worked with. The certificate must be on the company letterhead with seal and signature of the competent authority.
- Service certificate is required from the current organization's/company's letterhead & issued by an appropriate competent authority with the seal and signature for those presently working. In case, if a service certificate is not available, please provide the offer letter/Joining letter with a first-month payslip and payslip of the latest two (2) months. Please merge individual files into a single file and upload the same on the website.
- Salary certificate from the bank is mandatory for candidates who have worked in the unorganized sector. The salary must be transferred from the firm’s bank account to the employee’s bank account.
- Experience earned without salary, or with cash salary will not be considered.
- In case the candidate is a proprietor or partner of a firm, the candidate has to provide the document proof such as the income tax for the relevant period and a certificate of registration for doing a business from the municipal corporation or appropriate authorities such as MSME certificate issued by Govt. of India, Udyog Aadhar Registration Certificate, Partnership deed of the firm duly signed by all partners and GST registration certificate.

3. Reservations

4. Offer Acceptance Fee and Withdrawal
A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Jammu has to pay an offer acceptance amount of Rs.50,000/- within the stipulate date. If a candidate accepts the admission offer for the program, his/her offer acceptance amount will be adjusted against the term I Fee. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date i.e., 21st June 2026 (Tentative), amount will be refunded after deducting Rs. 1,000/- as processing charges. The refund of fee (EOI for All Candidates, Offer Acceptance fees and Term 1 fee for withdrawing candidates) will be initiated in the 4th week of August 2026.
If a candidate applies for withdrawal after the date specified by the Institute, no refund will be admissible. In the event of withdrawal from the program after registration, no refund of offer acceptance amount & Term Fee will be made.
NB: All expression of interest (EOI) fee received from students will be refunded (without any deduction) to all the students who have paid the amount irrespective of their admission status at the end of the admission cycle.
AIT admission requirements in the second year
To be eligible for admission to AIT in their second year of the program, IIMJ students should successfully complete minimum requirements in the first year of the program and fulfilment of English proficiency as certified by IIM Jammu.
Any dispute concerning Admissions for the first year Dual Degree MBA (AI & Business Analytics) Batch 2026-28 would be subject to jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of city of Jammu Only.

Admission Policy for Overseas Indian and Foreign candidates in Dual Degree MBA Program in AI & Business Analytics AY 2026-28
This document summarizes the approach of IIM Jammu and AIT Thailand to offer admissions to Overseas Indian and Foreign Candidates for its Dual Degree MBA (AI & Business Analytics) Batch 2026-28. Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)
Overseas Citizen of India are The Indian Citizens with a Valid passport, residing outside India for at least 12 months continuously as on December 30, 2025. The candidate shouldn’t be residing in India at the time of CAT exam.
Foreign Candidate (FC)
Foreign candidate are the foreign citizens who hold a valid passport of a foreign country.
Number of seats
The number of seats available to OCI and FC candidates will not exceed 9 (15%) of the batch size of 60. The institute reserves the right to admit a smaller number of candidates based on the candidate profile and other parameters used to prepare the merit list.
Eligibility
The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA i.e. 6 CGPA on a 10-point scale. A valid Graduate Management Aptitude Test (GMAT) score of 650 and above is required to apply for the MBA (AI & Business Analytics) programme at IIM Jammu. The medium of instruction is in the English language.
Admissions process
The candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria prescribed above can apply online to IIM Jammu MBA (AI & Business Analytics) programme. The link for applying online will be active in due course of time. The last date of receipt of application form is January 31, 2026 (tentative). Candidate should apply online for the Dual Degree MBA (AI & Business Analytics) programme and upload the requisite list of documents.
Steps to be followed:
- Fill the online application form
- GMAT Test scores
- Statement of purpose
- Three recommendation letters either from employer or teacher
- Attested copy of Passport
- A non-refundable application-processing fee of US$ 100 (Online payment)
- Mark sheets of Bachelor’s Degree and Qualifying Degree Certificate
- The Admissions Office will process the eligible applications and inform the candidates who are short- listed to appear for interview (if required). An interview call letter along with the interview form will be send to the short-listed candidates. An online interview will be conducted of the short-listed candidates.
- Get the provisional admission letter from the Admissions Office, to obtain the VISA. Letter required for VISA will also be sent along with Admission Offer.
- Show the Admission offer, and recommendation letter meant for VISA to the Indian Embassy in the respective country and get a student visa endorsed to institution.
Report to the institution for admission. Fill the programme registration form and submit it with the following documents (in original along with a photocopy duly attested):
- Degree/ Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination, which includes SSC, HSC, and bachelor’s degree.
- Mark sheets of qualifying examination.
- Student visa in original.
- A photocopy of their passport.
- Equivalence and eligibility certificate from Association of Indian Universities wherever applicable.
- Duly filled and signed declaration forms – Parent and Student.
- Recent passport size photographs – 4 Nos.
Admission of international students will be confirmed only after verification of original certificates, medical fitness test and payment of required fees.
Within a week of arrival in India register their names with the police in the Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) of the local Police.
Note: The original certificates will be returned to the students immediately after making an endorsement to this effect and due verification of the same.
Medical Examination: The candidates will be required to undergo the medical examination and get the medical fitness certificate. As per Government of India (I) rules all international students entering India on student visa have to be tested for HIV and will not be given admission if found to be positive. All international students will be required to pay medical fees of US $50, which includes the medical insurance cover for the first year. For second year, the medical insurance fees will be as per AIT Thailand.

Dual Degree MBA (AI & Business Analytics) AY 2026-28 Program Fee (For OCI and Foreign candidates)
The candidate after receiving provisional admission offer should get the student VISA and complete all other requirements including fee payment. The candidates also need to report at the institute for registration on the date prescribed by the institute. Subsequently the candidate needs to pay the requisite fee as per the following schedule in Indian Rupees. The amount shown in US$ is equivalent one.
