BBA (Hons.) Admission Policy 2026 – 2030

This document summarizes the approach of IIM Jammu Ladakh campus to prepare the admission list for its BBA (Hons.) Batch 2026-30. The batch size is likely to be around 60. IIM Jammu reserves the right to modify any part of this document including the various criteria and cut offs mentioned at any time till the actual admission process for the batch is completed.

1. Selection Process

The selection process of IIM Jammu consists of:

• Joint Integrated Programme in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT), conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) or,
• CUET (General Aptitude Test) or,
• JEE (Mains)
• Class 10th, 12th marks, Gender diversity

1.1 Test Scores

The admission to BBA (Hons.) would be through Joint IPM Admission Test (JIPMAT 2026), CUET (General Aptitude Test) 2026 and JEE (Mains) 2026.

1.2 Eligibility

Candidate should have passed Standard XII/HSC or equivalent examination in 2024, 2025 or appearing in 2026. The candidate must have passed Standard X/ SSC or equivalent examination in the year 2022 or later.

• Qualifying Examination - Candidate should have a Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations (55 % for the candidates from SC/ST/ PwD category).
• Applicants pursuing their XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate of Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.

1.3 Merit List

The criteria for preparing the merit list will be based on the composite score comprising the weightage of JIPMAT/CUET (General Aptitude Test)/JEE (Mains) score, academic profile of class 10th and 12th and Gender diversity as follows:

The Percentile obtained in the JIPMAT/CUET (General Aptitude Test)/JEE (Mains) 2026 will be used for preparing the merit list in the following manner.

Merit List: The candidates, who scored more than or equal to category-wise sectional cut off (percentile as mentioned in Section 1.3, will be eligible for the Merit List).

The following would be the basis for scoring candidates with respect of their academic profiles and gender diversity:

1.4 Tie-breaking rule for Merit List

If the overall composite scores of two or more students are found to be the same, then they will be ranked on the following basis.

• Overall JIPMAT/CUET(General Aptitude Test)/JEE (Mains) score (higher score will be ranked higher),
• Class XII score (higher score will be ranked higher),
• Class X score (higher score will be ranked higher),
• Appearance in Class XII (recent appearance will be ranked lower),
• Appearance in Class X (recent appearance will be ranked lower),
• Date of Birth (younger candidate will be ranked lower).

2. Reservation Policy

IIM Jammu strictly follows the Government of India Reservation Policy as given below:

3. Offer Acceptance Fee and Withdrawal

A candidate receiving an admission offer from IIM Jammu Ladakh campus has to pay an offer acceptance amount of Rs. 50,000/- within the stipulated date. If a candidate accepts the admission offer for the program, his/her offer acceptance amount will be adjusted against the Semester I Fee. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date, the amount will be refunded after deducting Rs. 1,000/- as processing charges. The refund process will be initiated after the registration of the BBA (Hons.) 2026-30 batch (Registration date will be updated). If a candidate applies for withdrawal after the registration, no refund will be admissible. In the event of withdrawal from the program after registration, no refund of the offer acceptance amount & Semester Fee will be made.

Any dispute concerning admissions for the BBA (Hons.) Batch 2026 would be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Jammu only.

Admission Policy for OIC & Foreign Candidates in BBA (Hons.) 2026-30

This admission policy is applicable to non-Indian students appearing in JIPMAT 2026.

1. Admission Criteria for foreign candidates#:

1.1 Eligibility Criteria for Qualifying Exam:

Applicants should have passed 10+2/XII/HSC examination in arts/commerce/science stream or equivalent with 60% * or more in the year 2024, 2025 or appearing in 2026.

1.2

The applicant must have passed the class 10th examination with 60% * or more in the year 2022, 2023 or 2024.

1.3

The application of the applicants appearing in Class XII examination will be provisional until their Class XII result is published. The candidates who do not score the requisite percentage will not be considered for the application/admission process.

1.4

The intake of international students in the BBA (Hons.) Program will be limited to a maximum of 15 % of the approved batch strength.

* The percentage of marks obtained by the applicant in Class X and Class XII would be calculated based on the Board’s regulation. If there is no such regulation regarding aggregate marks from the concerned Board, then the aggregate marks of all the subjects that appear in the grade sheet should be considered for calculating the passing percentage.

2. Selection Process

The applicants are required to appear in JIPMAT 2026.

2.2.

Only applicants, who score more than or equal to the sectional cut-off as mentioned below, will be considered for the admission process:

2.3 Final Merit List:

The criteria for preparing the merit list will be based on the JIPMAT Score or SAT exam Score only (whichever applicable).

3. Offer Acceptance Process and Withdrawal

• Detailed procedure for Offer Acceptance and Withdrawal will be informed at the time of Admission Offer.
• Any dispute concerning Admissions for the BBA (Hons.) 2026-30 batch would be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of the city of Jammu only.

# Foreign candidates are the foreign citizens who hold a valid passport of a foreign country. This policy is valid only for non-hostile nations to India.

NB: Non-Indian students may sit/appear for the on-campus placement process for the organization(s) that explicitly want to recruit foreign candidates.
