Assistant Professor, Finance and Accounting

Dr. Ashish Kumar is an Assistant Professor in the area of Finance & Accounting at IIM Jammu. Ashish is a finance and strategy professional having ~27 years of diverse experience in Managing consulting and research engagements; Client and team management; Teaching and research, and Academic and institution administration.

He has managed strategy, financial and operational consulting engagements to help Indian and global companies/brands define India’s entry or growth strategy, and performance assessment and improvement. His consulting expertise is in defining corporate strategy and growth plan; preparing commercial and financial feasibility studies; conducting financial due diligence and analysis; managing and evaluating operations performance; and developing business and industry research reports.

Ashish’s teaching and research interest lie in corporate finance, PPP and infrastructure finance, firm performance, strategic growth and alliances, venture capital and private equity, investment banking, management consulting, and bibliometric analysis. He has published many research papers in ABDC/Scopus listed journals.
