Bijoy Rakshit

Assistant Professor, Economics & Business Environment

Dr Bijoy Rakshit is an Assistant Professor in the area of Economics and Business Environment at Indian Institute of Management Jammu. He has received his Ph.D. in Economics from Indian Institute of Technology Ropar.

Prior to joining IIM Jammu, he worked at Pandit Deendayal Energy University Gandhinagar.

He works in the area of banking and financial economics. Some of the topics he has investigated in his doctoral program are measurement of bank competition, financial stability, access to finance and monetary policy transmission mechanism. Currently, his research focuses on economic policy uncertainty (EPU), macroprudential policies and pricing behaviour of firms in emerging economies. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Economics and Business, International Journal of the Economics of Business, Journal of Economic Studies, Managerial Finance, and International Social Science Journal.

Currently, he is the editorial board members of the journal of Reviews on Global Economics and Journal of Operations and Management Research.
