Research Project - Plight of Kashmiri Pandits

Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Indian nationals only) for the temporary post in the research project entitled, “Plight of Kashmiri Pandits-A Conflict Centered Comparative Analysis for the Design and Policy Initiative” sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.

  • Field Investigator (01 No.)

Eligibility

  • Research Associate - Qualification: Post Graduate in any social science discipline (e.g., psychology, OB/HR, public health, etc.) with minimum of 55% marks & NET/SLET/M.Phil./Ph.D.); Good knowledge of statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, AMOS); Proficiency in written & spoken Kashmiri language; Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English, Prior research experience is preferred but not required.
  • Research Assistant - Qualification: Ph.D./Post Graduate/M.Phil. in any social science discipline with minimum of 55% marks; Experience in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS); Proficiency in written & spoken Kashmiri language.
  • Field Investigator - Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, management, public health, etc.) with a minimum of 55% marks; Proficiency in written & spoken Kashmiri language; Prior research experience is preferred but not required.

Remuneration and Emoluments*

  • Research Associate – Rs. 20,000/- per month (not exceeding six months)
  • Research Assistant – Rs. 16,000/- per month (not exceeding six months)
  • Field Investigator – Rs. 15,000/- per month (not exceeding five months)
  • *No other benefits will be provided.

Tenure

  • Research Associate/Research Assistant: 06 months term (no further extension)
  • Field Investigator: 05 months term (no further extension)

Responsibilities

  • Research Associate/Research Assistant:
  1. Conduct literature reviews, design research studies, & collect data
  2. Analyze data
  3. Prepare data visualizations & research reports/publications, etc.
  • Field Investigator:
  1. Conduct literature reviews and collect data
  2. Tabulate and enter data in the relevant software.

Instructions

3. The appointment is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or at the time of joining the post.
