Research Project – Culinary Renaissance: Empowering Women in Rural Food Tourism in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir

Applications are invited from eligible candidates (Indian nationals only) for the temporary post in the research project entitled “Culinary Renaissance: Empowering Women in Rural Food Tourism in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir”, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi.

Positions*

  • Research Assistant (01 No.)
  • Field Investigator (01 No.)

Eligibility

  • Research Assistant - Ph.D./M.Phil./Post graduate in any social science discipline with a minimum of 55% marks. Experience in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS). Prior research experience is preferred but not required.
  • Field Investigator - Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, management, etc.) with a minimum of 55% marks; Proficiency in written and spoken local language; Prior research experience is preferred but not required.

Remuneration and Emoluments**

  • Research Assistant – Rs. 37,000/- per month (not exceeding three months)
  • Field Investigator – Rs. 20,000/- per month (not exceeding three months)
  • **No other benefits will be provided.

Tenure

  • Research Assistant: 03 months term (no further extension)
  • Field Investigator: 03 months term (no further extension)

Responsibilities

  • Research Associate/Research Assistant:
    • Conduct literature reviews, design research studies, and collect data
    • Analyze data
    • Prepare data visualisations and research reports/publications, etc.
  • Field Investigator:
    • Conduct literature reviews and collect data.
    • Tabulate and enter data in the relevant software.

Instructions

  • The appointment is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
