    1. Medical Officer - Two Posts - UR (Contract) - 1 Male, 1 Female

    Level – 10: Pay Scale: Rs. 56,100 - 1,77,500. Consolidated (On Contract)

    Upper Age Limit: 45 years

    Qualification

    Essential:

    (a) M.B.B.S. with at least 60% marks including completion of compulsory rotatory internship from Indian University/ Institutes.

    (b) Registered with Indian/State Doctors Bodies

    Desirable:

    (a) M.D. or equivalent PG Medical qualifications in any branch of Medicine with at least 60% marks with experience post-PG.

    Experience

    Minimum Experience of 5 years at reputed hospital - Government/ PSU/Private Sector

    Job Profile:

    • Medical assistance to all the students/Faculty/Staff members and other contractual employees of the Institute as per IIM Jammu Rules.
    • Provisioning of medicines and equipment.
    • Tie-ups with Hospitals
    • Prescribe medicines to treat the patient by considering his/her symptoms and medical history.
    • Investigate, diagnose and treat the health conditions of patients.
    • Document all patient evaluations, treatments, medications and transactions according to the Institute policies and procedures.
    • Plan and implement health related sessions for IIMJ community.
    • Help the Institute in identifying the hospital for annual health check-up of the employees.
    • Take necessary steps in collaboration with Institute's management to make the campus illness free.
    • Handle any emergency medical situation.
    • Involve in purchase of bulk drugs in association with the Stores and Purchase Department.
    • Manage Local MoU with other Hospitals for referrals services.
    • Conduct of medical examinations and issue of certificates to incoming students/employees.
    • Ensuring availability of ambulance and nursing staff.
    • Management of Medical Centre and advising the authorities time to time.
    • Ensuring hygiene factors in the mess/hostels and other areas of the Campus.

    Age relaxation for retired doctors from Departments, Undertakings, and authorities under Government of India may apply. Age up to 65 Years may apply. The consolidated salary will be fixed as per Government of India Rules i.e. last pay drawn minus pension plus other perks and benefits as per Government of India Rules. The tenure will be for 2-3 years on contract basis.

    General Conditions:

    • The candidates are required to appear for the Walk-In Interview with all the original documents and a copy of the same on 03rd September 2026. Reporting Time is 9:30 AM at IIM Jammu Jagti Campus.
    • The Institute reserves the right to: (a) fill or not to fill any of the advertised positions (b) fill consequential vacancies arising from available wait-listed candidates.
    • The post is temporary and on consolidated salary. Candidate may be considered to be appointed on contract for one/two years in consolidated salary. The contract may be extended based on performance of the candidate and requirements of the Institute.
    • No Campus accommodation will be provided.

    Other Conditions:

    • The Applicant must ensure whether he/she fulfils all the eligibility conditions for the post applied. Mere fulfilling of the minimum qualifications and experience will not vest any right in candidates for being selected. The decision of the Institute shall be final.
    • Candidates with requisite qualifications acquired from recognized Universities/Institutions only need to apply.
    • All Certificates, Degrees, and other documents for educational qualification, professional and technical qualification, work experience and age proof, relevant eligibility proof to avail age relaxation, should be produced in original at the time of interview. Failure to produce these original documents may result into ineligibility to appear for the interview.
    • Appointments will be governed by the relevant service rules and regulations of the Institute as amended from time to time.
    • In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issue of appointment letter, the Institute reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication including appointment offer made to the candidate.
    • In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of Institute shall be final and binding. Any court case will be at Jammu Jurisdiction only.
    • Preference will be given to DAP candidates if found suitable.
    • In case of any concealment/distorted information found at any stage your appointment will be terminated, and the institute reserves the right to recover all the amount paid to you.
    • If selected, before issue of offer letter the Institute reserves the right to verify the documents in original.
