IIM Jammu Organized One Day Training Programme on Government e-Marketplace; Participants from IIM Jammu, IIT Jammu, IIIM and CPW

Indian Institute of Management Jammu has organized a one-day training programme on Government e-Marketplace (GeM) on 29-05-2019 at IIM Jammu. GeM is a one stop Government e-Marketplace to facilitate online procurement of common use goods and services essential for various Government Departments/Organizations/PSUs. It provides the tools of e-bidding, reverse e-auction and demand aggregation to assist the government users get the best value for their money. The purchases through GeM by Government users have been authorized and made mandatory by Ministry of Finance by adding a new Rule No. 149 in the General Financial Rules, 2017. Authorized GeM trainer from New Delhi provided an overview and utility of GeM portal along with its practical demonstration. Faculty, staff and officers from IIM Jammu, IIT Jammu, IIIM and CPWD participated in the training programme.
