The Circular Economy represents the most recent attempt to conceptualize the integration of economic activity and environmental wellbeing in a sustainable way. The approach to practical sustainability is envisioned and demonstrated as an ‘economy in loops’ of resource savings, waste prevention and product-life extension. While moving towards exponential growth, India still seems to be far from reaching the goal of a Circular Economy which comprises a reconciliation of economic development with environmental concerns and potential resource scarcities. The corporate India has an essential role to play in India’s journey towards achieving an effective circular economy model. The panel will discuss the modalities of such achievements with specific focus on role of the corporate sector.
