Professor, Economics & Business Environment

Dr. Jabir Ali is currently working as Professor in Economics & Business Environment Area at the Indian Institute of Management Jammu and has more than 17 years of academic experience in organizations of repute such Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow and MANAGE, Hyderabad. His area of interest in teaching and research includes Business Environment, Economic Policy Analysis, International Trade, Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Entrepreneurship, Management Consulting, Circular Economy and Sustainability. He has successfully completed more than 30 research/ consultancy projects funded by State/ Central Government and international agencies and coordinated several Management Development Programmes for the participants from Asian and African Countries. He has traveled to more than 20 countries on academic assignments and has attended Global Colloquium on Participant-Centered Learning at Harvard Business School, Boston, USA.

He has published more than 70 research papers in refereed national and international journals such as International Journal of Consumer Studies (Wiley-Blackwell), Health Policy and Planning (Oxford University Press), International Journal of Information Management (Elsevier), Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development (Emerald), British Food Journal (Emerald), Journal of Food Products Marketing (Routledge), Journal of Foodservice Business Research (Routledge); Business Perspectives and Research (Sage), South Asia Research (Sage), Gender in Management (Emerald), International Journal of Social Economics (Emerald), Environmental Science and Pollution Research (Springer), Journal of Public Affairs (Wiley); Energy for Sustainable Development (Elsevier); Resources Policy (Elsevier)  among others with impressive research impact.
